On the Trail in Nebraska. Started in 2000 Art Expeditions began to travel the route of Lewis and Clark. Our team of Art Explorers (Our family) set out to capture and document the different communities and landscapes along the route. Goals:
The following are selections from our adventures in Nebraska with this
project. |

Notes: Our journey began at the mouth of the
Missouri River on the Mighty Mississippi. After the Missouri and
Kansas
landscapes, Nebraska offered a the slow transition from the Ozark hills to
the open plains. Its gentle rolling farmland was a great partner to
Iowa's Loess Hills. Indian Cave State Park was a great secluded area.
We then reached the Northern part of the state and discovered Ponca State
Park. The river is taking on a new shape. It is now wide, shallow, and meandering. Much like it was when Lewis and Clark passed through.
